TOPIC I - BETA ELECTRONICS

When we look at the state of consumer electronics and their designs, it begs the question:

Who are they made for?

They aren't made for the planet, as consumer electronics generate 2 million tons of e-waste per year. AThey aren't made for humans, as many of us are addicted and dependent on our devices.

Thus, Beta Electronics is a design solution that democratises and decolonises  the physical design of consumer electronics. Its goal is to empower users to criticially question and make their own electronics, that are “good” for them and the planet.  Its product and service ecosystem addresses e-waste and empowers individuals to get into electronics affordably, whilst allowing users to critically examine the theme of time and their relationship with electronics, and how they can be more aware of it.
